Ultimately, it’s his own, most career-defining work to date. ... The record progresses--in every sense of the word---he allows himself to become more vulnerable, more considerate.

Astroworld shows the evolution of Travis Scott as an artist and is his most refined, imaginative, and rage-worthy project yet.

If Astroworld suffers from any sin, it’s a nearly endless ambition.

While Astroworld has some slight flaws, the project is Travis' best, most-progressive and most-well-rounded album to date.

Malone is an unmistakable presence on his songs, his otherworldly croon an essential element to his genre-hopping sound. Despite the considerable leaps in quality taken on Astroworld, it still doesn’t feel like Scott can muster that level of individuality.

The music might take your breath away, if the worst of the lyrics don’t make you roll your eyes. He’s very good at what he’s good at, but he’s not what you’d call well-rounded. Still, not everyone who has something to say, says it in words.

There's nothing to really get mad at, but there's not much to get excited about either. Scott is just "aight."

For all the fans of Travis' previous work, thisThis was probably one of the most anticipated albums of the year, and it clearly delivered. For all the fans of Travis' previous work, this album really went well with them. But Travis had teased before the album's release that we could expect some heavy rapping. The truth is that the album had something everyone. For lyrical listeners, tracks like Coffee Bean and Yosemite delivered in a deeper way while tracks like Stargazing, NC-17 and Sicko Mode were for those who wanted something to bump in their car. Now if you listened closely, you would have found that the instrumentals throughout the album were very interesting and extremely audibly pleasing. All in all, La Flame's experimentation really paid off and all together, this album had enough to shatter peoples' expectations. This is an album that will probably be remembered as one of Travis' best and one of the best hip-hop albums for a long time. Expand

Finally I see a portion of the Travis Scott that i heard so much hype about back in 2015... Not being a big fan of neither Rodeo and Birds in the trap sing mcknight, Astroworld offers us a more mature Travis Scott, someone who knows what he was going for when making this project.

The production in AstroWorld is stellar, Travis Scott has already shown great beat selection before, but this time he goes all out, with psychedelic beats that can only make the songs better.

The features were solid all through out, Frank Ocean and Drake were outstanding, but the surprise package for me comes from 21 Savage, bringing another kind of energy to his delivery this time around, i'm not a fan, but i couldn't deny him this win.

Unfortunately it falls victim of what feels like filler content, but this album shows big potential for Travis Scott in future projects, i will be anticipating more from now on, definitely a good listen

Favorite Songs: Carousel, Sicko Mode, Wake Up, NC-17, Yosemite, Who?What?
Least Favorite Songs: Stop Trying to be god, no bystanders, Coffee bean
