Black Clover: Quartet Knights is a fun, dynamic experience provided by Bandai Namco. Despite the fact that it is obviously aimed towards the anime and manga fan base, players looking for a challenge in online gameplay should also give a try to this solid fighting game.

A great adaptation for manga fans and a fun game for the general public.

Black Clover: Quartet Knights is an original and fun fps online, but unfortunately it's also very repetitive and with obvious problems of balancing.

Black Clover: Quartet Knights is a lost occasion. A good plot and an intuitive gameplay fight with few contents and a not so interesting gameplay. As usual, a game that fits the need of the fan, without being attractive for other players.

Playing as different Magic Knights, many of whom are more interesting than Asta, spices things up but it isn’t tantamount to bacon bits, and fights never graduate to anything impressive, not even when the J-Pop theme song kicks in. Much like a baked potato, it’s all perfectly serviceable but not very interesting unless you’re a carb fiend. [Issue#155, p.82]

Black Clover makes its debut in the industry of video games with Quartet Knights a game that, ultimately, fails to deliver the expectations of fans and newcomers alike. It is a game that sticks to the lore and nature of the animanga series, yet makes huge leaps backwards in terms of gameplay, level design, control system and A.I interference. It’s a quartet, but only for the select few.

The game has a gooey smooth outer coating that contains a rough, unpleasant centre. Unfortunately, Black Clover Quartet Knights is much like Asta himself; completely lacking in magic.

The story mode is an ok because the story itself is interesting but the mission structure is kind of boring. The Netcode in this game is good, i rarely feel lag in a match. Overall this is good anime game. Expand

Some great ideas in Black Clover but just needed much more polish/

Quartet Knights gives us a new-n-original Story which is nice, there's even a solid amount of actual Anime scenes in there which is cool but the structure of it all is poor and even gets tedious a few missions in. The combat is messy-n-chaotic but very fun, its a hybrid style of game which works both like a Shooter/Beat'em up/RPG, which was quite a unique approach to the gameplay.

BC's visuals are average compared to the likes of the Naruto games, the soundtrack is nothing spectacular and overall the game just feels bland and empty. Black Clovers just lacked the magic it needed, with only a decent sized cast and a few generic modes to keep you playing for 10+ Hours.

Some characters dominate the game though which is can be annoying when trying to use the less useful characters also the roster is decent sized with 16 characters, but at least the must haves are there so thumbs up.

    Average score starts at +/-5:
    The Good:
    + Original Story +2
+ Chaotic but Fun Gameplay +1
+ Play as your Favourite Black Clover Character +1

    The Bad:
    - Average Visuals & Soundtrack -1
    - Character Balancing Issues -0.5
    - Dead Online Servers -0.5

    The Ugly:
    - Barebones Content -2

I wasn't going to mention the DLC but its hard to ignore, its Disc Locked DLC. SMH

    It's a 5 Leaf Clover:
It really sucks giving this a low score since i'm a fan of the Anime & Manga, but if you're like me and wanted a decent Black Clover game then this "might" be for you, if not then just buy it-n-try it when the price comes down.
