Perfects everything Origins did and enhances them in ways you never thought an Assassin's Creed game could. Odyssey has it all.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is a massive game set in an incredible recreation of an ancient world. I wish the special moves were a little less clunky to use and that assassinations always resulted in kills, but these are minor complaints when compared to the fun that I had in the game. It might not be an Assassin's Creed game in the strictest sense, but the journey across Ancient Greece that Odyssey took me on was well worth the ride.

With Odyssey, Ubisoft has crafted the biggest Assassin's Creed to date. A colossal open world, action RPG, that can go toe to toe with the biggest names in the genre. If you're a fan of this kind of game, don't miss it.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is big and beautiful. Could it be a much better game? Sure. But it's an amazing adventure with echoes of the Greek classic tales about travels and fantasy.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey seems to be the series paroxysm: wider, richer and deeper than every other episode, the game still suffers from repetitiveness. The fascinating manhunt and the real choices will keep most players hooked up for a while, but only those who bought a PS4 Pro or a Xbox One X will benefit form the game's beautiful visuals. If you want to explore this endless Greek world inhabited with brilliant minds of their time, you will have to go through more of the same fetch quests the series has dealt with for so long.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is one of the best chapters of the series, and will delight any fan. Too bad for a limping technical optimization, which spoils the performance of what could have been the best Assassin's Creed ever made.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey features a rich, lush world lessened by its repetitive activities. Though the main story is compelling, completing it requires you to participate in a massive amount of level grinding through less-than-stellar side quests. There’s plenty to do in this world, but a lot of it feels like busy work that fights to stay exciting or compelling. Odyssey is yet another open world game that misinterprets the meaning of more content.

It is definitely the furthest departure from the AC gameplay that launched this world, but the amount of content and versatility included at day one is staggering compared to many on the market now. If you play your looking at enough content to rival a Bethesda game (fallout/elder scrolls). Assassins creed is no longer a weekend and done sort of game. it is a grind with good story, romances, and choices (sound familiar?). The micro transactions are a bit troubling yes, hence an 8/10, but they are not completely invasive. You can play this game without it and be perfectly fine. If your an achievement hunter, mmo player, and/or looking for something to get lost in for a while, this game will not disappoint you.

This is not a traditional assassins creed game though, just like origins. Do not expect it to be like syndicate, unity, or anything before that.

Previous reviewers nailed many aspects of this game to the cross, which I agree has made this game another recycled product that could be tossed into the trash if you just feel like giving up. Or at least that's what playing and looking at it feels. It is sloppy work. It was rushed. Incoherent narratives. Sloppy graphics. Buggy. Waterpainting textures. Random moments of wow and lame. This game needs rework. Lots of it. The water effects... omg, please fire your developers. Voice of characters go out of sync randomly. Choppy movements. The main characters move robotically. The action animation is soo repetitive. I thought Origins was repetitive but this here is far worse. Origins was gorgeous. Not perfect, but it sure was worth 8 or 9 stars out of ten. This... this is worth under 5. I want my money back. Such poor work. Expand
