Unwillingly unchained by the Warden, the player's skills are put to the test, given only the instruction that they must stop the end of the world. With a story the player must piece together themselves, the central character sets off with no memory of their past.

Other characters in the game may shed light on the situation, but the reality is not always clear, as characters are always operating on their own agendas. Use your diverse arsenal of ranged and melee weapons to clear your path as you explore dark sci-fi interconnected worlds in your quest for truth and salvation.

It has a great mix of difficulty, RPG, and a story that will make me want to continue playing this game until I have beaten it.

Acceptable, but altogether too generic shooter variant of the well-known Soulslike formula, which loosens up the genre with a focus on ranged combat.

Immortal: Unchained could have been an original take on the soulslike genre, but it's too buggy and imperfect to be a fully enjoyable mix of action RPG and shooter mechanics.

Immortal: Unchained aimed a bit too high. Although its combat system is quite unique in the “soulsborne” genre, and there is an admirable variety of weapons to experiment with, it nevertheless falters in too many of its parts. In many occasions enemy attacks and environmental hazards are designed in such ways to unfairly kill us, bosses are lackluster, the overall design feels quite plain and the last third of the game just drags on forever. It worth saying though that its high challenge and the fact that its technically devoid of serious issues may just put it in the vicinity of “guilty pleasures”.

Immortal: Unchained pushes you into a hardcore RPG universe full of magazine-fed weapons and ancient battle axes, but doesn’t quite hit the target with its rough edges and choppy AI.

Been playing it for about 4 hours or so now and made it to 3rd "world".

-So happy it got native ultra wide support. Not even many of the bigger titles have this, I´m looking at you Monster Hunter World. 0.o Running, 3440x1440 and it looks great!
    - Game is graphically well optimized and runs butter smooth on my rig.
-Smal things like the fact that you can just press button and fast skip logos when you start the game and enter the game in seconds.
-Alot of weapons to choose from in multiple categories. Some movements like dodge might feel slow at start but that is because you can get it upgraded later on in game with addons.
-There is some minor details in some of the animations that might need to be tweaked but nothing major and nothing that can't be easily fixed by the developer.
-They have already announced some more game-modes and free DLC that will come post launch.

Really enjoying this game. If you like a challenge in the Dark Souls level then you should give this one a try.

Cool looking game that gave me feelings from Dark Souls but with Guns. Looking forward for more DLCs and to complete all hard bosses.

    Issues I picked up:
    - AI System needs improvement
    - Needs some sort of merchant
    - Improve Melee Combat because it is not as they say "vicious" and that it is only helpful when you are out of ammo
    - Some enemies do too much damage, for instance the ones that run after you and melee you can kill you in three hits. they take like 40% of your health per hit. Don't know about the other enemies.
    - Some bosses have melee attacks that does no sound so it is hard to expect and they take 90-100% of hp. I'm talking specifically about the boss of 2nd orb.

Overall, the game is not worth the $50, but if they manage to fix most/all of the issues I listed then it would be worth it and a 9/10 game.
