I suggest you wait til it drops to $20 or $30 then buy the "all in one" fighter pack for $20 to get your money's worth. The story is divided into four episodes (1 for each title) with 8 chapters in all of them, they can all be beaten in about 20 minutes each if you don't skip the dialogue. Blazblue's is the only one with multiple endings though (4 to be exact).
I'm not a fan of playing online but I tried it and it was okay to say the least. Instead of picking fighters from a select charcter screen, you pick your character in a online mode menu from the pause screen, then you are stuck with them til you change them. I don't mind it but having a character select screen before the match is better in my opinion.… Expand

While IThe game's controls feel like they flow really well in combat and the music is just as nostalgic as the characters and battlefields. While I understand the game is focused on 3v3 I kind of wish there was a 1v1 mode since 3v3 has so much going on on screen that somtimes I don't know where I am or who is attacking me. The story mode requires tokens called memoria to progress and to get memoria you have to play other modes (online or offline). I kind of hate this mechanic since it requires me to leave the mode I want to play to go play modes I have no interest in. Also loot boxes have been added to give characters cosmetics such as quotes or costumes and you can level up each character to learn new EX skills they can use in combat to help get an edge in battle.
The game is fun but a little tedious since I have to play other modes to advance the story only a little bit at a time.… Expand

You can spend time with friends to raise your relationshipTokyo Xanadu feels like a mixture of the Trails series mixed with Ys battle system. You can spend time with friends to raise your relationship with them, read books and answer questions for wisdom, complete difficult dungeons with high grades to raise bravery, and complete side quests to raise kindness. These kind of reminded me of Persona's gameplay a little and I really enjoyed it.
The only down sides are only one character can fight at a time so you have to constantly switch characters during battle to hit enemy weaknesses or use different attack types and they all share the same energy bar as well as control the same way. It feels like the game only needed one character but uses multiple characters instead. That isn't bad though it just felt unnecessary. I think the weapon type should also matter instead of just their element. The eclipse has different styles but they always stay the same so grinding means going through repetitive hallways and monsters that you have played before.… Expand

Blue Reflection is a game that tries hard to be a little bit like Persona but falls flat on its face.
The world of Common is a beautiful and bright setting for this game and the soundtrack is pretty good too. Sadly these things are the only things I liked about the game. The area you will be spending the most time is the school area where you can talk to other classmates to strengthen your character.
Battles in the Common do not yield you any EXP so talking to the other classmates and getting their emotion fragments give you growth points which is used to level up your character. This is an interesting way to strengthen a character but I would much rather battles do that. The battles are not all that difficult and are easy to get through and after each one your health and energy is replenished to full making it even easier between battles. The Common is easy to traverse since it is usually a small area.
The game's characters feel real in the sense they are regular school girls going through everyday issues while your character is coming to terms that she has joined a magical girl group.
The game is a good pick up for those into the magical girl genre but it feels like a jrpg that wants to hold my hand through the entire game with how easy it is.… Expand

The game's story begins with the last city on earth being invaded by the oversized alien species known as the cabal. They take over the city, capture the traveler, and take away your powers (or light as everyone calls it). But by some miraculous chance you find a fragment of the traveler outside the city and get your powers back, so it is now up to you to fight against the cabal and take back the city.
A good story but very cliche. I never really liked MMO's to be honest because the game never treats itself like one. As you play the story you meet up with Zavala, Ikora, and Cayde-6 and they treat your character like he is the only guardian left when there are thousands wandering the worlds. Nevertheless, I enjoyed playing through it much more than the first game.
Engrams in this game don't need to be deciphered unless they are legendary (purple) or exotic (yellow). Common (white), uncommon (green), and rare (blue) can all be equipped once picked up. Loot is done better in this game as well.
The only things I really didn't like were the fact I didn't get my sparrow til after I beat the whole campaign, so if you pick this game up you will be walking from one location to another for a majority of the game unless you find an abandoned enemy vehicle.
The crucible was also something that was a disappointment. Instead of having game modes to pick from, you pick either quickplay or competitive and it puts you in a random game mode. This works for games like Overwatch but not this game. Players always leave when they get a mode they don't like.
Ships still serve 0 purpose other than to be eye candy during loading screens. I mean seriously if you are not gonna have space battles then do not bother wasting valuable time on stuff like that when you could be using it to make a better game. I don't know why Bungie didn't think to just use teleporters or even something like a Stargate to move us around from planet to planet with loading screens in between.
So Destiny 2 is an okay game but needs some work done on it. So get on it Bungie!… Expand
