Sob stories rule over better judgment and eye candy substitutes for real talent. Golden buzzers (and “yes” votes) go to the story not the talent. Over half the acts getting through the judge cuts should not have even gotten past the first audition. Judges are woefully out of touch regarding what viewers want to see.
So far the ladies’ costumes are a bit more appropriate, but give it time. Wonder if the tech staff for the live shows will fix the audio mix for singers or tone down the lighting so the tv audience can actually see the talent. After two live shows that question can be answered in the negative. The tech on the show: sets, mechanical, lighting, and sound have all been sub-par.
Tyra is still doing a ho-hum job as emcee and the so-called judges (too pc to be effective) still need replacement. Even Simon is voting too pc and not always on the basis of who has the potential to win it all.
Getting more than tired of non-residents getting spots in the live shows and pros (+ex-pros) using the show as a springboard to relaunch their sagging careers. Tired of acts that do the talent show circuit and try to win them all. Need to focus on new and previously undiscovered talent and leave the sob stories for social media.
The judges keep saying this is the best season ever, when it is not - it rings hollow as the judges were responsible for voting the bad acts through in the first place. There should not be judge cuts anymore. America needs to vote to determine who they want to see in the live shows. These judges need to go! In a similar vein, the Duncan save should determine which two acts from the bottom three go through. Tired of judges having a 2:2 tie at the end of results shows and defaulting back to the vote.… Expand

Many of the veteran cast are back plus a crop of new interns who play as dumb as dirt. Don’t like camera boy - feel like “momma” should have grabbed that camera up and dumped it in the first available medical waste bin. Don’t care who the kid’s daddy is. HIPPA is law and camera boy is violating it.
Second episode was a ripoff of a Scrubs episode - someone with a brain tumor sees singing and dancing all around her. Geez, are writers so low on story ideas that they have to steal from other shows?
The Rob Lowe character always has bothered me and still bothers me. That this character was “assigned” to this hospital by his army superiors doesn’t ring true to me and never will. The army needs all the docs they can get and if this one is so off the rails that he is no use at any army facility, then they should just turf him and be done with it. When he goes out to get new patients in the field, he just causes the hospital to get to code black status all the sooner.
I understand others like Rob Lowe as an actor and probably like this character, but I could do without him in the show, period.
So far the personal conflicts in the plots are pretty trite and weak. Need to see some better writing quickly! Lowering my score because you’re boring me too much of the time!
Canceled and none to soon. Interesting how the final episode quickly wrapped up slowly moving plot points contributing to the boredom. Too bad it took series cancellation to get the writers to get rid of their plot garbage.… Expand

The idea that cops have to go rogue and on the take to truly protect a community is contrary to my core. It’s like the world of false media, fake news, and corrupt politicians just want to rub the idea and their putrid existence in my face. Glad SOB won’t be back for a season 4. Hope Harley makes a stand and cleans up her little corner off her fictional world.… Expand

Did not originally know this was from the same team that brought us Castle, but recognized the similarities right away. Rachel Bilson gets by on her looks and Eddie Cibrian is just a bit past his prime (spent as a supporting actor in a lot of whodunnits) so falls into the “grizzled veteran PI” mode. Since this is a basically a Castle reboot, expect to see these characters deny and attempt to ignore the obvious sexual tension built into the premise, then succumb to it if the series lasts long enough.
Not the worst thing on summer TV, but far from the best.… Expand
