Despite the ridiculous storytelling and two-dimensional characterizations that are flatter than a flounder, what really sinks Siren is that tonally, it’s neither fish nor fowl. It has no self-awareness of what it wants to be, but there are glimmers of what it could be: a horror series that plays upon people’s paranoia of deep water, a maritime action series, a morality tale about what it means to be humane, a tragic and/or sexy interspecies love story, or a soap with heightened emotions that carry it into the realm of juicy Douglas Sirk-ian melodrama.

When all is said and done---don't miss this one (Read the Rotten Tomatoes reviews also) Expand

The characters are cardboard cut-outs, and good looking actors and actresses don't sell a show if their characters are about as appealing as an STD! Don't see a second season getting on the story board let alone on the screen. Expand

Painful. This show is all over the place and the acting is hard to watch. I made myself finish the first episode but any more will not bePainful. This show is all over the place and the acting is hard to watch. I made myself finish the first episode but any more will not be possible. The characters are not appealing or endearing and the occasional attempts to make them so are somewhat sad. Seriously, skip this one. Expand
