Jeffrey Thomas

Biography: Welsh-born Jeffrey Thomas graduated from both Liverpool and Oxford universities and has been a writer and actor for over 20 years. As an actor he has worked in film and television in New Zealand, Australia and the UK with leading roles in series like the BBC's Bowen A'i Bartner, TVNZ's Shark in the Park and Marlin Bay as well as the mini-series The Sound and the Silence for which he was nominated best supporting actor. He has written for several TV series including Gloss, Marlin Bay and Plainclothes.
He also had a major guest starring role in the American/New Zealand series Hercules the Legendary Journeys.
He remains fluent in the Welsh language, and has and written a number of episodes of the successful drama series Mwy Na Phapur Newydd. His stage play Playing the Game was first performed at Circa Theatre in Wellington, NZ and a revised version was subsequently produced in the UK, first at Theatr Clwyd and the The King's Head in London whence it transferred to the West

He has written two books, including a collection of stories for children, and also written and directed one short film, Making Money. Recent stage appearances include Closer by Patrick Marber in Auckland and the international smash hit Art in Wellington.
