For all the remarkably fluid dialogue in Constant Image, none of that would matter if the songs didn’t connect in the first place. And reader, boy do they! Songs like 'Punching Up' and 'Pressure' sound like lost gems that popped up on your local college radio station.

Flasher prod around the shiny veneer, offering oblique rationale that not only identifies your existential malaise, but also lends an uncanny hand up.
  3. Jun 11, 2018
On Constant Image, Flasher speaks to the realities of gentrification, self-discovery and escapism.

Fusion of nerdiness and fun. [Summer 2018, p.109]

What’s surprising--and thrilling--about their debut full-length, Constant Image, is that its social commentary would have felt just as timely at any point in the past 30 years.

Flasher may have the attitude of their eighties DC counterparts, but they ultimately channel their thinking person's punk aesthetic by attempting to rewrite its traditions altogether.
  8. Jun 8, 2018
Flasher appear to have arrived fully formed, with a deeply satisfying debut that's both coherent and imaginative.
  9. Uncut

For chunks of the album there's an unshakable feeling of familiarity. [Jul 2018, p.27]
