I don't feel that I wasted my time with this game as I'm happily still playing it. If you want a colourful, fun and challenging experience with a little splash of competition, then Crayola Scoot is the game to buy. I would have no problem recommending Crayola Scoot to any gamer young or old. Now, move over, I have to go defeat Robbie. It's time I get to the next Fame Level!

Crayola Scoot isn’t perfect. It has a few little niggles and could do with a bit of polish especially in its control scheme. But it’s fun. The bold, simple art style is extremely effective, and seeing a skate park completely covered in various colours after an aggressive round of Colour Frenzy is brilliant.

Crayola Scoot suffers from a small range of design issues, but even so, it manages to offer up a fun, accessible, well rounded trick scooter experience nevertheless. There’s a steep difficulty curve later in, which may not sit too well with the game’s target audience, though with that said and despite its few flaws, the game achieves much of what it sets out to accomplish.

Crayola Scoot is releasing at a bad time. It is a little pricey for sure, but man I had a blast with it once I got the trick system down. This is a game that could definitely be fun for families to dig into, or fans of colorful titles with neat mechanics. It is impossible to ignore how much fun can be had, but I fear it will simply be overlooked due to the timing of its release.

It is an enjoyable romp, with its frenetic pace and solid competitive play, but it is brief. How long you end up enjoying it for may depend on how many friends you have, especially considering the rather steep £35 price tag.

I liked the easy to pick up and play style that has been implemented because this does make itself accessible to gamers of all ages. In terms of content the game has a decent amount for you to be getting on with and the variety present in the content means the game does have some replaybility. The skating elements in the game have been done really well and performing combos always feels satisfying and never gets boring. I enjoyed the single-player offerings at times it does get a little too difficult which can be frustrating. A more advanced tutorial would’ve been nice because whilst it features an easy to pick up and play style it does take a little bit of getting used to. Some modes fail to hit the mark which in turn means they aren’t as fun as the other modes in the game. As a fan of skating game’s I can’t help but feel starved because there hasn’t been many skating game’s at all in recent years. I will admit now though that despite being starved of skating game’s I didn’t have high expectations when it came to Crayola Scoot, but after sinking a number of hours in I will admit now that I was wrong because it’s a good game that offers a lot of fun and enjoyable moments. Obviously the crux of this game is its skating elements and I’m pleased to say that they’ve got this aspect spot on and skating and performing combos always felt satisfying and most important of all fun. The gameplay also doesn’t take long to get used to as well due to its easy to pick up and play style, but despite this I still would’ve liked a more advanced tutorial because it takes a bit of getting used to at the start. At the end of the day though whilst the game has a few shortcomings none of them are too severe and without a doubt Crayola Scoot gets more things right than it gets wrong. This then means recommending the game is quite easy because it offers you a generous amount of content that’s varied and fun for gamers of all ages. Expand
