They said it wasn't possible on Switch, but now it's here, Nintendo fans won't be able to escape the phenomenon for any longer. It nails the get a little better each time feel, and that's what makes it so addictive. Add in the Save the World mode and it's an equal match for the other systems.

Fortnite Battle Royale delivers a perfect balance in gunplay, progression and sandbox elements. No wonder it may be 2018's gaming phenomenon. We even like the way microtransactions allow players to enter new challenges and earn cosmetics for the game, but don´t alter the core mechanics.

Fortnite for Nintendo Switch delivers the same fun, compelling battle royale experience already available on the other platforms.

Fortnite on Nintendo Switch is a well done port despite its graphical downgrades. It contains the same great Battle Royale gameplay the title is known for, and it's just as addictive and exciting as ever. Collecting materials, swapping out guns, and building forts never gets old, even though you are going to be dying a lot. If you have never played the game before, then this is the perfect time to give it a shot, especially since it's free to play.

Epic has delivered the full fat Fortnite: Battle Royale experience on the ‘homeheld’. The omission of Save the World is disappointing, and you’re sure to notice the framerate difference if you’re coming from other consoles, but performance-wise, it’s steady and perfectly playable. There’s room for improvement – motion-assisted aiming should be top of the patch list – but ultimately, that just-one-more feeling survives the transition intact. Before you know it, you’ll be eyeing the clock at 3:56 am thinking ‘hmm, that’s not a round number’. The heart-pounding suspense of making it to the final two may not be healthy, but it sure is addictive.

Fortnite is not a masterpiece, yet it is one of the most important games in the current videogame panorama. If you are wondering why this happened, you just have to hold the joycons and spend a few minutes in the company of ninety-nine other players, whether you are at home or at lunch at work. Warning: it could be addictive.

Ive been wanting this port for ages and its finally here! A few things that need to be fixed, but i'm sure it will be fixed in updates in the future. Also if you are thinking of buying a Switch just for Fortnite, go ahead because its that good. Also it looks a lot better than Mobile and the controls are way better as well. Go download it now if you haven't already because it's a free game. 10/10 Great Port Expand

Very little time waiting to enter the battles which was really surprising after the time it takes to matchmake on Rocket League.
Fortnite does not force you to pay for anything, as the in-game currency which can be purchased is good for aesthetics only and doesn’t make any difference to performance.
Again it’s Free, so if you don’t like it, don’t worry, it’s cost you nothing. For me it’s a must-have entry on the Switch.

I don't care what anybody else thinks. I love this game.

Initially I gave it a perfect 10/10, but I'm subtracting 2 points for serious lag problems. This can be incredibly frustrating, especially if it starts lagging when you're down to the last 10 or so...

Having said all that... It's free. It has good graphics. The cartoon-style design separates it aesthetically from most shooters. The eye of the storm idea is great. It doesn't have unnecessary graphic violence. (I'm tired of seeing heads explode.) People don't "spawn" behind you without warning. When you die, you die. That's it. Game over. Coming first feels great. My heart is literally pounding when I get down to the top three.

I don't build much. I mostly storm other people's forts. And, I don't jump around like an idiot. People constantly jumping has ruined many shooters for me. But, it doesn't bother me as much in Fortnite. Probably because it's a big map and (like I said earlier) people don't spawn everywhere.

This is pretty accessible. There are so many users playing (and it's free) so the average skill level is
is lower than other shooters. Also, you can't learn the map back to front and hide in a sniper nest the whole game because the storm forces you to keep moving.

Most of the people complaining about Fortnite are either PUBG fanboys/girls or they're complaining because they suck and they die too quickly and they think "it's not fair" somehow...

My second favourite shooter of all time, after Splatoon.
