Never played the original game, but I liked this "HD remaster". It certainly shows its age, even with updated visuals, it looks nothing like current releases, but still offers a colorful and fun experience. Gameplay is a little bit repetitive and different areas and enemies look similar, but the game itself is fun and nice for a younger audience. The Switch physical edition comes with extras and that's always welcomed, mostly because main story lasts only over 5 hours. Expand

Asterix and Obelix XXL2 is a game that entertains for a little while. This is mainly because of the numerous winks to other games. The remaster doesn't impress on any area. The game has an old feel all over and the gameplay falls flat after a while.

A good remaster of the video game released back in 2006. The remaster offers mechanics, items and good textures. It is a good introduction to wait for XXL 3, since its gameplay is not surprising.
