Whether you're in for the full campaign, fun with friends, or just want to smash some stuff up, you'll find exactly what you're looking for in this charming, rage-relieving adventure. With plenty of settings to assist the motion-sick players, and the option to use a standard controller or Move Controllers, you'll find no problems with accessibility across this vast and hectic game.

If smashing up a castle then sucking up coins sounds fun to you then Smash Hit Plunder will be a welcome fit for your VR library.

Overall, Smash Hit Plunder works best as a social party game. There’s a great deal of satisfaction to be gained from smashing things to bits, and its is pleasing enough to explore and look at. Some more hidden unlocks or other secrets (apart from the secret rooms, but tend to be slightly too easy to find) might have given the title a longer shelf life. As it is, its worth pulling out for some amusing group videogames, or for when a de-stressing session is needed. Still worth buying for parties and social gatherings.

There might be a fun game hidden in the halls and dungeons of Smash Hit Plunder, and the core mechanic is satisfying. But attempting to crash through the barrier caused by the difficult control scheme to reach the entertaining parts of Smash Hit Plunder ultimately feels a bit like a cauldron to the head.
