Fire Pro Wrestling World brings back everything that was great about Fire Pro R and expands upon it to give fans the definitive Fire Pro experience. Don't let the graphics scare you away, this is one of the most fun and most in depth professional wrestling games around today that any fans of professional wrestling, no matter what promotion you enjoy watching, can enjoy.

In an era when so many other wrestling games continue to focus on style over substance, a legendary Japanese franchise returns to remind its rivals of how things should be done. While Fire Pro Wrestling World isn’t without room for fixes or improvements, it’s still by far the best video game wrestling experience to arrive in recent memory. It’s been 12 years since the last proper Fire Pro game, but it was absolutely worth the wait.

Fire Pro Wrestling world has so much to offer that I cannot recommend it enough. From top to bottom the game is a tremendous love letter to the sport and to its fans. Veteran players will find plenty of new content here to justify a purchase and new fans who are willing to commit to the play style the franchise demands will find a wrestling experience deeper than they can get anywhere else. With a host of additional content on the way in the form of DLC and endless combinations of matches through the incredible edit tool this game should be at the top of the purchase list for all wrestling fans.

Fire Pro Wrestling World provides players with some of the best pro wrestling gameplay since WWF: No Mercy. The inclusion of the New Japan Pro-Wrestling license is just the cream on top of this yummy cake.

If you are a fan of wrestling, even a casual one, you will surely become hooked on the challenge that Fire Pro Wrestling World represents. Even having a game in the West with the license of the NJPW will be, for many, a reason for purchase. It is far from being a perfect game, but it is really enjoyable and justifies the cult around it.

If you've never played a Fire Pro game it will take time to learn the basics. The gameplay used to be a major hurdle for new players, but there's actually a training mode in FPW called Mission Mode. Stick with it and you'll be having 5-star classics in no time.

Well worth the wait. I have been a fan of the Fire Pro series since 6 Man Scramble on Sega Saturn. Love the NJPW licensing.

Easy to play but hard to master, the game plays out the way you would watch a match on tv smooth and realistic. I bought this on recommendation from a few friends ( who are wrestling junkies ), I'm not big into wrestling ( IRL) but wrestling video gamesI bought this on recommendation from a few friends ( who are wrestling junkies ), I'm not big into wrestling ( IRL) but wrestling video games were always enjoyable for me. At first I hated this game, I couldn't figure out how to not get clobbered by the CPU. But once I started the tutorial, and got a feel for timing with grapples, I was having a blast. There are a ton of different modes including extreme wrestling. I also enjoy the old school arcade aesthetic to the game which was reminiscent of my childhood arcade experiences. This is also one of the most customizable games I've ever played, literally everything can be altered/modified/made from scratch. The menu's are a little tedious and overbearing, but it shows how insanely in depth customizing is on this game. The best part of this game also is that you can easily import characters made by other people, which there are literally hundreds of , therefore you can have the deepest roster in wrestling game history. A must have for wrestling fans, and for anyone that enjoys a change of pace in today's FPS and Fortnite filled world. Expand
