Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is a fantastic game. Let me repeat that: It’s a fantastic game. The lingering control issues (and even these are minimized) and some minor pacing issues as a result of the two-protagonist approach can’t taint this gargantuan project.

A triumphant return to form for a franchise, and presents a beautifully structured tale with heart and soul to spare.

The game's high production values were a bit diminished by the series' longstanding fallacies, such as random lag and instances of poor texturing, but London remains a gorgeous place to visit.

The Assassin's saga is starting to feel a bit tired when it comes to structure and gameplay, but Syndicate does pretty much everything that Unity tried to do better (well, except for the multiplayer, completely taken out of the game), and grabs the player's attention with great characters and finally a decent storyline. Also, the virtual London is splendid, but you expected that, right?

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate gets more right than it gets wrong, but in trying to amend some of the sins of the series, it exacerbates the issues instead of offering a cure. Despite that rather lengthy list of cons at the bottom of my review, one thing’s for sure: Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is still a hell of a lot of fun.

Syndicate is a massive shame. Ubisoft’s yearly development cycle is really beginning to leave its mark on the series. Assassin’s Creed has been good. It is a series that can be great, but unfortunately Syndicate is a misstep. For a series concerned with making its players historical tourists, it is ironic that it is so stuck in the past.

The characters are well written, familiar gameplay mechanics such as the whistling and being able to pick up bodies is back, the story has clever links to the story of the other AC games, the modern day is better and actually goes somewhere (albeit the ending is absolute wank) and the side missions are implemented well into the goal of the main story. It has the same feel that AC2, Brotherhood, and Revelations all had. Syndicate is a must buy for all AC fans. Expand

The main character and the story felt very good and I had much fun playing through the 15h story. I liked the charming brother and sister combo.
London is such an amazing fun city to play in Assassins creed. I really like the new grappling hook.
Too bad now the multiplayer component was totally left behind. I always liked it.
The only negative thing I can say about this game is that the combat is very very easy. I never had any trouble in any fight and you can just kill anyone and any mob in a mission to solve any problem.
Anyway they improved much in regard to Unity and I have no Idea how you can not like this game if you like Assassins Creed.
Especially memorable was that Animus Rift level where you climbed onto that famous bridge during WWII era .

The story feels better put together and more cohesive while the characters are actually kind of likable. Though jacob does grind on me a tad. The world is huge as as always and full of things to do, but doesnt feel as overwhelmind as Unity did. Music is also a huge win, some beautiful scores most notably when you are atop a vantage point. At one of them i sat purched for good fee minutes so i could listen to it all.

Graphically is is not bad, it lacks some of the vidual flare that unjty had bht overall I'd say it is good. Rain effects feel a bit phoned in, but the world is full of life and the day / night cycle is a welcome return.

On the negative side - glitches are still present, mostly in the form of clipping and textures not loading in quickly enough. I had a in engine cut scene play where a character clipped through horse whi,e she was talking and had no mouth movements, another time on another in engine cut scene both evie and jacob did not render but all of their equipment did. Another time most game breakingly of them all, an entire train didnt load in when at a train station - i wws promptly run over and killed. Other annoyances stem from terrible frame rates at times, mostly in the train and an odd and infuriating bug where i am unable to walk through the second carriage because npcs are in the way, making me drunkenyl stager out onto the roof and leap over to the last carriage. Anoying. Finally, the rooe launcher is great when it work, however a good 30-40% of the time it can never seem to find a point to lock onto despite me staring right at one like someone in lust over a ledge on a building. Frustrating.

Plaonly this is a better game, yet i can't help but feel AC really needs a year off to rejouvinate.

Even though it is getting tiresome i actually had fun with the game unlike AC unity. It has an appealing story, interesting secondary missions, fun main characters and the beautiful Victorian environment which were the only aspects that kept me going.
The vehicles are a welcoming feat with the fun chase and roof combat but the new combat mechanics failed. The clunky combat moves felt very simplistic, cartoon-ish and rushed before the game release. It is the contrast to the whole game.

Most of missions is based of exploiting bad ai or other faults making it feel awkward. Also sci-fi themes of this game makes feel awkward because it is like a bad fan fiction. Maybe best parts are cut off to dlc but i am not sure of that, either way it is not the way companies should do. It is a game that will soon find its way to second hand shops if you are interested at visiting in Victorian era England. After a while i thought a good thing about the game, its historical London and some of missions can be enjoyable. Expand
