Creepy Road seems to have a good heart, delivering a nice looking game with an enjoyable, affable atmosphere, but there isn’t enough new, original, or terribly fun outside of those boons to make this a game I’d have a super easy time recommending to most. I think a few balancing and quality-of-life tweaks could really turn the boat around and make this a fun, casual game worth jumping into, but until that happens there’s still a fair amount left to be desired.

There are a decent amount of weapons, enemy types, and environments, but those are cold comforts in the face of frustrating issues like awkward weapon management, unpolished platforming, wonky enemy AI, and tedious combat encounters. A good first attempt, but the game suffers from poor design all around.

Creepy Road has everything you'd like to see in a great action side-scrolling adventure, a huge arsenal of weapons, dynamic combat and tricky ways of taking down your enemies, making the game quite challenging in its easiest mode. One of the things that gave me a first impression and impressed me the most is definitely the polished and beautifully coloring and drawing style, the smooth animations and freedom to take on everything the way you desire. I haven't played action focused side-scrolling games in a while, but knowing how some of the best action focused scrollers used to be like I'm happy to see how smoothly everything plays in this game.
How the story is being handled in the game is quite impressive! There are amazing cutscenes and dialogues with yourself and with other characters in the game worth seeing. This reminds me of the past when gamers used to be determined to complete a level stage to unlock the next cutscene feeding you more from the story of the game.
Speaking of stages the game seems to deliver main and mini bosses which I love a lot. There's nothing better than facing an interesting boss and having to figure out a way to defeat it or meeting mini bosses making your overal combat experience a little bit more challenging.

Truly great experience for everyone who'd like to have some fun!
