The title features more modes, settings, and ways to engage than any game in the series I can recall. The blazing new Blackout mode steals the zeitgeist of the battle royale’s thunder, packaging it in a polished, powerful entry to the burgeoning genre. If you’re willing to eschew single-player completely, the payoff is worth it.

In Blackout, Treyarch has proved the series can still be agile and forward-thinking, while smart changes to Zombies and multiplayer show there's still plenty of life in these old bones.

Those who played the PC version of Blackout in the open beta already know that the PC version is not an awkwardly masked port, but a game that has been built entirely from scratch for this platform - from navigation through menu screens and gunplay to customization options that a PC player can expect.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 lands with a quality combination featuring multiplayer, Zombies, and the new Blackout battle royale mode. It's a clean, polished package of multiplayer goodness all around. The lack of single-player campaign still hurts, but for some, it probably won't be missed.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, in certain aspects, is a wonder to behold. The crisp animations, fluid movement, solid gunplay, and frantic action that has defined the franchise is here in its full glory. Losing the single-player campaign isn’t a big issue once you’ve tried and tested the different features the game has to offer. Treyarch made this bold decision, and Beenox followed through with creating a PC version from the ground up.

CoD Black Ops 4 is a good game, where Treyarch succeeds in offering a AAA Battle Royale experience packed with goods ideas. The Zombie mode is bigger and exhilarating, but unfortunately the classic multiplayer mode doesn't offer anything really new. All that is not enough to make us all forget the solo campaign, which totally disappeared in this episode.

The multiplayer maps are really balanced and blackout is the best battle royale out there right now. In fact it’s the first battle royale I’ve actually enjoyed. The lack of single player was a little disappointing but you can tell the development team really made up for it by focusing on the expanded zombies mode and battle royale. Also would like to say it runs great on PC. I’m using a GTX 980 which is a couple years old and I’m getting a steady frame rate above 80 fps at all times. Would highly recommend this. Expand

There is something important about all game modes: they are fun. Even the BR game mode, I am not a huge fan of pubgfortnite games but this one hooked me and I spent a lot of time in it.

Also, people complain that there is no single player campaign - as for me I've never completed any of those (well, I did but it was the 1 and 2 original CoD in 2005).

possible the best cod since black ops 1 it has its downfalls as no campaign and battle royal is pubg re branded. Its basically all the bestpossible the best cod since black ops 1 it has its downfalls as no campaign and battle royal is pubg re branded. Its basically all the best maps remastered and it works good apart from the glitch where it freezes occasionally. The graphics are amazing provided you have a top end gpu. the zombies are fun as ever on the titanic or the Colosseum. this time round we can have bots in the zombie if you want a solo match with intelligent ai. think it would of benefited from a campaign instead of battle royal (pubg) which is already dying off in popularity. on the fence about useing battle net instead of steam as how do i report a game play issue Expand

Joke of a game. How can you take this game seriously when hit detection is this bad? If you have good aim look elsewhere cause headshots don'tJoke of a game. How can you take this game seriously when hit detection is this bad? If you have good aim look elsewhere cause headshots don't register here. Headshots are only registered through body shots. Far too many times I die because my hits don't register when I obviously am hitting my target.

Graphics are absolutely horrendous. This game looks like it was made in 2006 for Xbox 360. It looks like 720p when running at 1440p. Textures are muddy, everything looks blurry, color pallette is 90% brown in blackout. Good luck spotting the guy across the map that is a puddle of blotchy colors and potato resolution that you can't make out from the rest of the blotchy low res environment. I'll wait for bf5 and I'm never buying an Activision game again. They're always hyping their games with fancy trailers and fake paid reviews and then deliver a unfinished game and don't bother to fix it cause they already got your money.

Absolutely can’t believe they are joining the cookie cutter rehash online game only garbage while riding on laurels from previous releases.Absolutely can’t believe they are joining the cookie cutter rehash online game only garbage while riding on laurels from previous releases. Zombies isn’t going to keep people coming to shell out $59.99 US for a multiplayer only game and then have to buy DLC for the next year just to continue to play with the same boring recycled maps over and over.

What a shame how treyarch has destroyed a legacy game for the sole purpose of profit. Buying a game is like an interactive book and the story is what I myself buy them for because I want to enjoy a good bit of fiction with a goal. Enough of this cookie cutter multiplayer crap with DLC hopes because every game previous to this that was mutiplaher has failed because it just became redundant trash. Honestly I truly think they play on the new gamers every year coming of age to play and parents keep buying this garbage to appease them. The gaming community is upside down with greed and the gamers suffer for it.

Gone are the days of blockbuster engines that produce insanely beautiful and smooth graphics, now it’s being out an ancient overplayed engine and soon new models and call it a game again and again.

I’m a PC gamer from the days of old and I spend thousands on new hardware annually to have the best. Then pieces of garbage like this come out and it has me wondering why the PC gaming community has shrunk so badly. Because you can’t return the game and the games coming out don’t require new hardware annually because of stale dated engines that produce the same crap over and over again in a different wrapper.

Thanks Treyarch you’ve successfully trashed another once first class title and reduced it to a doorstop.
My advice, Fire who is leading this abortion of a development team and actually work to make a title with buying. Treyarch should be ashamed of themselves.
